Presentation at 12th ESA conference in Prague

  • ESA conference Prague Czech Republic (map)

Robin Smale and Bas van Vliet will present the first E-practices paper in Prague at the annual ESA conference. Our abstract has been accepted as of April 1st. Our ongoing research concerns the role of households in smart grids and the processes of change occurring in domestic energy practices as a result of the roll-out of smart grid innovations. Keep an eye on the website for updates on our research progress.

The theme of the 12th conference of the European Sociological Association (ESA) is “Differences, Inequalities and Sociological Imagination.” In accordance with this theme, RN12 will critically focus on the environmental dimensions of contemporary inequalities and justice issues as well as the sociological imagination to fathom new ways of conceptualizing human development in the natural environment.
